Meet Tami Thurston…after a childhood in Orlando, Florida followed by college days at University of Florida, Tami and her husband migrated to Colorado and have never left. Tami's love for Routt County is evident in the way she lives her life and the relationships she has established throughout the area.

Tami has had her real estate license since 2005. Before that, she was involved in her husband's construction business and ran her own home day care business. She has a knack for finding the hidden potential in real estate and for being able to negotiate easily due to her excellent communication skills. Just about anyone will tell you, it is very hard not to like Tami or to enjoy every moment you spend with her. She is professional, positive and finds real estate a perfect outlet for all her talents and energies.

Tami and her husband originally moved to Steamboat Springs, CO in 1994. While living there she worked for the Chamber of Commerce as well as Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp. When their first child arrived, they wanted to move to a location where they could raise a family and integrate into a small community. Since her husband is a builder, he built them a house on a hilltop outside Oak Creek in Routt County. In their spare time, Tami and her family are serious mushers - both raising and racing dog sled dogs. If you want to catch the real Tami, though, check out the annual Oak Creek dance recital where she and her girls perform every year. Tami also loves all the amenities of living in the rural West such as skiing, snow shoeing, camping, and hanging out with a close-knit group of friends. As her girls grow, so do her community connections. She is highly active in the PTA and other activities that support the schools and community programs for youth in the area.
